My channel got terminated because of a channel I’ve never even seen

I run a small tech channel, a little over 300k subs. Been posting for years, never had a strike before.

A few days ago I got the termination email out of nowhere. When I asked why, support said my channel was linked to another channel that got banned for copyright strikes. Problem is I have never touched that other channel in my life. Never uploaded to it, never even heard of it before this email.

I filed an appeal explaining all of this. Got a copy-paste rejection back within a day, didn’t feel like anyone actually looked at it.

From what I’ve seen posted by other creators this week, I’m not the only one this happened to. Seems like a bunch of unrelated channels got swept up together somehow.

Anyone know if there’s an actual person you can talk to about this, or is the appeal form basically a wall you talk to.
