A tweet I posted months ago got quote-tweeted by a much bigger account this week, and within a few hours my account was suspended over it. From what I understand, the reporting system can be used in bulk by groups trying to force someone’s account down, and the suspension notice doesn’t say anything about that possibility, it just cites the general policy. Feels a lot more like volume than an actual violation.

My account was permanently suspended back in June. Filed several separate appeals over about a month before one of them finally worked and the suspension got lifted. Logged in expecting everything to be back to normal and instead got an empty shell, zero followers, zero following, no posts, like the account had just been created….
